Meeting Spring at Gowing's Swamp/Thoreau's Bog

Sunday, May 1 from 10 am - noon

A nine-acre bogland nestled off the eastern flank of Revolutionary Ridge in Concord, Gowing's Swamp is one of the area's most unique and beautifully sculpted wetland landscapes.  I will be leading a walk for Sudbury Valley Trustees around the bog as it awakens after this long, snowy winter.

For information and registration, go to http://www.sudburyvalleytrustees.org/events-calendar/meeting-spring-at-gowing%E2%80%99s-swampthoreau%E2%80%99s-bog.  For a detailed history and survey of this magnificent bog, see http://www.sudburyvalleytrustees.org/current-projects?q=gowings-swamp-concord.
